1. Baby Emery being born
2. Finals
3. Going back to Idaho for 11 days
So there are the excuses. Now it's time to make up for the silence.
We welcomed Emery into our family last month, and she quickly made life amazingly different, and incredibly exhausting. She is growing, eating, pooping, and sleeping like a champ (well, the sleeping part is a little hit or miss still). The joys of parenthood! We love her and anticipate her every smile and sound. We also had our good friends do a photoshoot of her when she was three weeks old. To check the pictures out, heres a link.
I finished my seventh trimester of school at Logan College of Chiropractic and began outpatient clinic. So far it has been relatively uneventful, probably because I've only been in the clinic a total of two days. However, I am pretty excited to have a chance to start treating patients from the community and improving my skills.
We celebrated Christmas a few days early, because of a planned trip back to Idaho. So we opened presents on the 20th and had our traditional pajama opening the night before. It was especially fun to include Emery in our Chrsistmas tradition. Here's a peek at her first set of Christmas PJ's.

This holiday was especially eventful. We were planning on blessing Emery so family could be there. Valerie's sister had a new son and they were planning on blessing him on the same day, so Valerie's family traveled to Rexburg to attend the blessings. This fact allowed us to enjoy Christmas with both our families for the first time. The important thing was that Emery got a lot of time to meet the family, and spend more time with her Grandma's, both of whom were thrilled to see her again.
Here she is with Grandpa Miyasaki:

Emery meeting her new cousin Daxton, obviously very excited:
And this is Emery's big day, her blessing on December 27, 2009:
We also got to hang out with friends and see a lot of family that we hasn't seen for a long time. Needless to say, we reluctantly returned home.
We are anticipating that this new year will be one of the most important years for our young family. I will be graduating this coming December, and Emery will continue to charm us and grow.
